Position Summary:
The Harvest Repair associates will audit growing rooms, inspect harvest trolleys and tools and performs repairs.
General Duties:
Completes a full growing room inspection using an inspection sheet prior to the first day of harvest which includes checking that all of the items are in good working condition. Lights, growing beds, all rails and brackets for all growing beds
Completes Inspections on harvest trolleys and trolley platforms
Completes repairs on harvest trolleys, trolley platforms, floor squeegees and harvest carts (excludes any welding work)
Completes PM work on all harvesting carts, trolleys and trolley platforms, runner carts which includes inspecting wheels, greasing wheels, replacing wheels or casters, brackets, rivets etc.
All trolleys and platforms are sprayed with chlorine to prevent any potential disease contamination within growing rooms
Maintains harvest hallway keeping the area organized, decluttered and floors dry using the floor machine
Walk around the premises to remove any debris and ensure cleanliness of the farm
Performs any other duties that may be assigned as required
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be eligible to work in Canada for any employer, without restrictions.
Hours of Work:
5 to 6 days / week
Approximately 30 to 60 hours / week; 8 to 14 hours / day
Public Holidays / Weekends as scheduled
Daily shift end times vary based on production needs
Earnings:
$19.80 per hour
