Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring food safety compliance, verifying the completion of required documentation, and record maintenance.
General Duties:
Verifies completed, vacuumed product, looking at product sku’s and validating customer requirements
Ensuring labels are correct, including but not limited to, the case label and date code across entire packaging room
Packing scale calibrations
Temperature verifications within the cooler and packaging/ slice room
Maintains and records proper temperature control of product
Loads and unloads trucks (Kingsville only)
Embrace and support the Highline culture and values, acting as a brand ambassador at all times
Interact with others in a manner that promotes respect, confidentiality and dignity
Develop and actively foster an engaged work force, displaying professionalism at all times
Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the Supervisor
Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses to the Supervisor immediately
Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or medical illness requires accommodation
Ensures mushrooms are packaged within customer specifications as instructed by the Supervisor, Manager and Quality department
Ensures mushrooms are packaged in a manner that reduces or eliminates mushroom damage or contamination and ensures the highest quality mushrooms
Reports any anomalies of packaging quality, quantities to the Packaging Manager
Completion of documentation per food safety and quality policy program
Performs any other duties that may be assigned as required
Qualifications:
Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Previous forklift experience is an asset
Earnings:
$18.67 per hour
