Position Summary:
Leads the packing line in an orderly, efficient manner, focusing on achieving output targets while minimizing downtime and waste. Fully trained Line Leader who is capable of leading and operating all packing lines, with minimal supervision and guidance. Provides training to new Line Leaders as needed. Ensures the efficient operation of all packaging lines to minimize downtime and waste.
General Duties:
Operates packaging line(s) as scheduled, ensuring minimal downtime and waste
Records required documentation pertinent to packaging line operation on paper as well as entering into an iPad.
Verifies dates and codes of product
Loads labels and makes adjustments to the line according to packaging orders
Executes customer orders as directed ensuring the use of correct label, date code and any other customer requirements.
Directs & Trains associates on the line, advises when changeover is required, ensures customer product quality
Promotes a clean and safe working environment
Capable of identifying obvious malfunctions of the equipment being used
SAP/ ERP System understanding and knowledge and ability to train others
Input all relative information per SKU in iPad
Performs any other duties as assigned
Operates at least 5 production lines as needed, ensuring minimal downtime and waste, with minimal supervision or guidance
Provides training to new line operators as required
Embrace and support the Highline culture and values, acting as a brand ambassador at all times
Interact with others in a manner that promotes respect, confidentiality and dignity
Develop and actively foster an engaged work force, displaying professionalism at all times
Adheres to the Safety Policies, including use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment
Reports unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor
Reports all incidents, injuries and near misses to the supervisor immediately
Cooperates in the Early and Safe Return to Work Program if an injury or medical illness requires ac-commodation.
Follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) as trained
Adheres to all quality standards per customer specifications
Qualifications:
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Must be eligible to work in Canada without restrictions.
1 year mushroom packing required or 2 years in packaging in food manufacturing industry.

Hours of Work:
5 to 6 days / week
Approximately 30 to 60 hours / week; 8 to 14 hours / day
Public Holidays / Weekends as scheduled
Daily shift end times vary based on production needs
Earnings:
$19.80 - $21.08 Hourly
Afternoon shift premium after 5:00pm of $1.00 per hour
